There might be some sort of serial number, but I don't see how it would be remotely read. The only number that would be unique to OP's individual Steam Deck is MAC address but those are a) not guaranteed to be unique b) easily changed. All steam decks have the same model number. Each steam deck does have a unique serial number. So they will block the serial number not the model number. You can buy 20 of the same model number tv's. But every single one of them 20 will have a different serial number. More people are getting more devices more quickly. I'm not saying it won't happen or that it won't be profitable, but the incentive is going to drop as the prices fall and the scarcity decreases.
