Yeah, I dont get to enjoy most of the fun summer stuff and my personal life takes a toll, but Missoula is one of the capitals of the industry, it's a growth industry, it pays quite well & offers benefits, and you get winters off to hunt, travel, ski, etc. Just sayin... it's an option. IMO the best resort skiing nearby is Lost Trail (best terrain, least crowded, cheapest). There's decent BC all over but it depends on how much you want to skin and whether or not you want sled access. Lolo Pass, the Bitterroots, The Missions, are all good options.
