Get a good grenade mod. Tesla's work wonders at stripping shields. You can also go further and get either a Stormfront or Electric Chair. Get a slag weapon, highly recommend the Slagga. It's good on damage as well as slagging everything in it's path. Breakneck Banshee is a fun class mod with the rough rider shield. Blurred Trickster with +6 chain reaction and +5 kinetic reflection is pretty fun. With a good high fire rate weapon you can tear through enemies. Legendary Binder is amazing for mobbing, and Legendary Cat for bossing.

Sand Hawk is rather impracical without Bee which boosts its DPS by an order of magnitude at least. Bonus Package won't help you much with this build. Either try Quasar if you're control freak, or good old slag transfusion for utility. Or even Fastball for insta-kills. Also, launcher for second winds.

Especially useful due to the lack of Moxxi weapons early on. Converge can yoink baddies together, you shoot them, proc Cloud Kill, and kill them all. Sweet Release procs and heals you. It almost doesn't even matter what gun you use. This is pretty much my level 30 build.
