The SP2022 retained Sig’s traditional DA/SA action with the standard decocker but tossed it onto a compact frame design. Sig originally marketed the gun as a more affordable alternative to the metal-framed P-Series. The SP2022 is roughly the same size as the P229, with a 3.9-inch barrel, an overall length of 7.4 inches, and a 1.4-inch width.

I believe I’m said before that I’m not sure a 15 round gun should be called “compact,” but that’s the convention so I’ll work with it. According to Sig it even has “ Carry ” in its name.
