This included, a new West Mountain lift- Doppelmayr 6-CDL (possibly heated seats and bubble) to be installed in 2021. Nice. 2. Summer of 2020, the lift installation is changed to 2022. It is described as a 6 pack. 3. The closest feel to Sugarloaf has been Mt Bachelor and Bend is a very cool city but is a bit of a drive to the ocean. Love Bend and Bachelor, lack of on hill lodging is a bit of a downer. Though they do have full electrical hookups and shower houses for their RV area now!

Jul 25, 2023 · Sugarloaf is unique among New England ski areas because of its size, character, challenge, remoteness, extraordinary beauty and, yes, its people. Rival ski areas like Stowe and Killington have some great terrain, but they don’t have the Sugarloaf vibe. I came to Sugarloaf from Massachusetts 22 years ago.

Here's hoping for a great 2023/24 ski season. It looks like a Modoki El Niño is brewing for this winter. The last time that happened, Sugarloaf got over 200 inches of snow. In a Modoki El Niño, the warm water is further west than in a classic El Niño, thus altering the jet stream and bringing cold air down from Canada.
