I've tried the following 'resets' using passenger controls in both ON and Accessory mode: Passenger window down halfway, back up and hold for a second (2013 manual). Passenger window down all the way, back up and hold for 10 seconds. Passenger window down all the way, back up and hold for 5 seconds. Similar variations. Hi, I have a 2013 OUtback and last night when I went to close my windows after being open all day I was unable to operate my passenger window, and on my door panel the red backlights for the passenger and rear window switches were unlit and unresponsive. I thought this was a fuse issue however...sounds like something in the switch circuit. If the motor works by giving it 12v separately (both ways up and down), then it is a switch/wiring problem. It might be worth taking a vacuum (especially the main driver unit) and disinfecting wipe to all the switches. No i did not try the 5second way, only the factory way of rolling it half way down then go up and hold for 1sec then down and hold for 1sec, that procedure got me the auto up/down to work but not able to control passenger window from drivers seat
Sitting in dealer now getting advice during normal service visit. Used the passenger side child lock on 2016 outback one time, it never "unlocked" or "disengaged" afterwards. Unable to open door normally from inside. No issues with elec. lock or other functions. The rip and replace option is $300+ from prior estimate.

Sometimes the windows on my OB will stick to the rubber weatherstrip and not budge. Eventually the motor wins out, but you may want to try running a credit card or something else thin, flexible and not sharp between the glass and rubber.
