Mode 6 diagnostics would show actual miss fire on each cylinder. My guess would be the start of a bad coil or plug. 2013 Escape Titanium with every option AWD 2.0.

The shifter has solenoids to lock things down and unlock them, and it has an encoder to report what gear you're in. Not sure how much of a mechanical connection there is on the 2015's though.

The level plug is on the drivers side right above where the drain plug is. Its about 4 - 6 inches up the side right next to the axle shaft. Both the drain bolt and level bolt are pretty small. The torque spec is not that much.
