The 30sf definately felt better in my hand than did the 30, & had the shop had a 30sf when I bought the 36 I probably would have gone with the SF in favor of the larger ammo capacity. On the other hand the 36 certainly conceals easily enough,particularly in cooler weather attire. Like.

I carry both, the G 38 will have a grip the same width as a G 19. The 8 round mag for the G 38 holds 9 rounds and is a full length grip. The slide is thicker, however than that of the G 30S. OI carry my G 38 more than the G 30 or 30S. I use the X grip devices to carry G 38 mags in my G 39.The G30S/G36 upper is designed for .45 ACP +P (23K psi), whereas the G30/30SF upper shares a design in common with the G29 intended for the higher energy of 10mm Auto (37.5K psi). Installing a complete G29 upper on the G30S receiver is a safe and reliable option to convert the pistol to 10mm caliber.

I have most all the Glock .45's. When I was choosing which would be first in the 30 series (my first two .45's were G21SF and G21g4), the 30S's frame is same as 30SF and 30g4. The slide is slimmer on the 30S. But, the frame thickness is what grabbed my attention at first. Slimmer slide but same thickness in the frame.

On my Gen4, I've had two mag catches and springs replaced due to excessive wear of the catch and the notches in the mags. Mags would fall out upon firing the gun.Love the gun, Want the gun, Will have the gun. Now 30 or 30SF and why is the question? This will be for EDC, and Range use. Oct 12, 2008 · XD compact .45 ACP vs Glock 30SF. Ok so I will be getting my first .45acp hand gun in a couple weeks I already have a glock 23 .40s&w and and CZ 75 P01 and love both of them. My 45auto is going to be my primary carry weapon so that needs to be taken into consideration when comparing the 2 guns. I can conceal my G23 with no issues most of the time.

I've had both the 21 and the SF, as well as the 30 and SF. Aside from the way they fit my hand, I could find no difference. Accuracy and reliability are on par throughout the four. As for any real differences, you would have to explore the Generation 3's and 4's. The best defense is a good offense, and I'm really offensive.The G29 can be easily converted to shoot .40S&W with a barrel swap for better economy.
