Jan 25, 2022 · I personally believe the 716I is the best rifle you can buy for the money in the AR-308/AR-10 Battle Rifle category. I think the 716I can perform alongside its older sibling, the 716 G1 & G2 Piston guns probably to the surprise of many. The 716I may also be able to potentially shoot more accurately than the 716 due to it build type. Sig 716i vs SFAR. The SFAR will likely take a little modification. Mainly a different handguard to fit a rifle speed gas system. I can’t speak for the victor but Springfield guns are usually adequate. I’d say it’s the rifle next in line to the 716i Tread in terms of review count. Majority of them being positive. I haven’t shot one but a friend of mine does have one and to my knowledge has had no issues and has said before he likes it. I have the Sig 716i. It has run flawlessly for me and I like how it handles.
