At heart the 780 is a rugged R12. They perform pretty much identically. The 780 has a tougher casing, and more weather proofing but is noticeably heavier. But taking measurements, I find from “point” to opposite “point”, I have 1.5-inches. From “flat” to opposite “flat”, I have 1.4-inches. So an 8-sided polygon in a 0.75-inch radius circle.
