Check to make sure the vacuum is switched to the correct mode. The switch should be in the Power and Brushroll mode to make the roller spin. If it is in just the power mode the roller will not move. Fix was to Dremel a keyway on the shaft and inside of pully and drive a brad in to lock it firm. (see image close-up) I think this was really bad engineering by the manufacturer to just press this pully on. Remove the 13 screws (circled in yellow) using a phillips screwdriver. Be sure to keep track of which screws go into which hole. Remove the one screw (circled in red) that has a Torx head (might be Phillips head on some models). The Torx screw is hidden under a rubber gasket. Carefully, lift up the gasket without damaging it to access this screw.
