Jeep wrangler overheating while driving.
Just a hot burning smell. There is no smoke from hood or vents. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine compartment looks fairly clean. Usual dust. Oil is fine. Coolant is ok. It hasn't been rust proofed or greased in any way. It's a 2010 so it's not burning stickers off or oils from manufacturing.

Then squeeze/massage the upper radiator hose, you'll see bubbles at the fill point and the radiator level will drop; Add coolant. bonza. usually if your Jeep is overheating when driving at highway speeds it's caused by lack of water flow, ie plugged radiator or faulty pump or even stuck thermostat. overheating at slow speeds such as in traffic usually caused by interupted air flow thru radiator such as faulty fan clutch or radiator fins are blocked with crap.

I have replaced - fan, thermostat, water pump, radiator, hoses, temperature sensor, head gaskets and even heads. All to the tune of about $4,000. Still overheats. - no codes ever. 195 degree thermostat only means that is the temp of the fluid when it opens up for cooling in the system. You do not want to go less than that. Give or take a couple of degrees from 210 is normal. If it really bothers you may want to replace the temp sensor. I can usually hear the sound for a few minutes. It sounds like like some kind of fluid or water is splashing around underneath the center console area.
1- Buy or rent a coolant leak tester. It attaches to the radiator and has a bicycle pump that you pump up to 18 lbs. You pressurize a cold engine cooling system and look and listen for a leak. Watch the gauge on the tester to see if it holds pressure.
