Drain completely, put the drain bolt and washer back and tighten it. Fill final drive with 4 ounces of SAE 80 hypoid gear oil. Check to make sure oil is level with the lower edge of the oil filler inspection hole. replace the oil filler cap. now wash your hands because that stuff is stinky! hope this helps, Bry :choppersm.

Pour in the 1/4 can, pump the fork from full up to full down 10 times, and dump out the ATF. Repeat with a second 1/4 can. Do the same on the other fork thus using an entire can of ATF. Aug 9, 2020 · When you finally get it off now you know don't tighten it more than you can do by hand. Next change you should be able to remove by hand but many do prefer hot oil changes. Meaning that once warmed up, and at moderate hi-way speed, all the oil that enters the filter flows through the filter media. The by-pass valve allows oil to pass unfiltered whenever entry pressure is higher than what the valve is built for.
PappyPolygrip. While you are changing the oil go ahead and change the clutch and brake fluid with dot 4 brake fluid, dont forget the rear brake master cylinder resivor too. Change the coolant also, use honda coolant. It takes three quarts. +1 to everything mentioned. The 1800s don't mention any oil change in manual till 4k miles. The 1300s want you in for that 600 mile service. Go till 600 miles, do your own dino oil change with filter. Hit 4k and go synthetic. Don't want to mention any brands of the stuff. Lots and lots and lots of oil/filter stuff here.
