Had this issue before, when we cryoed something and the pod appeared empty in my inventory, even though it wasn't, all we had to do is put it in some inventory slot like a fridge or container and take it back out again. Looks like you need to be level 88 to learn the cryofridge. You should also be able to craft this in the Tek Replicator. Although if you haven't learned the cryofridge, you probably don't have a Tek Replicator either.
