Started a non-dedicated with my friends and soon figured out that the tether distance was low. I went into the settings looking for it and could not find it. It used to be located in the rules tab in game rules before but now it's gone.On PC the tether has a slider, the default is 1.0 which is about 200m which is awful, and the slider goes up to 3.0, which is about 700m which is usually alright but if the host dies everyone ends up being teleported to them which can really suck. You can also go higher by entering a number in the field beside the slider.You can increase further then the slider allows by entering a number instead. Water and caves mess with the tether distance. If any of you have a halfway decent computer I would recommend running a dedicated server in the background on one of your computers. Or on a seperate computer if one of you have a spare.

Mine was definitely worse with dlss on. I'm thinking maybe it's an issue when it's sunny out and casting lots of shadows. The shadows appear to be running at low fps with little skips here and there. Yes there is a tether. NO the settings to make the tether range go further are NOT working. YES you can host a dedicated server from your PC for FREE. Make sure you have your Steam library set to show tools and games.
