We backed it up to our yard. We are calling the dealership in the morning to get the truck checked. We will update any information they give us. The 2019 Ram 1500 has 3 problems reported for shifter stuck in park. Average failure mileage is 14,050 miles.

The shifter on my 2006 2500 has been sticky since I bought it, but finally the other day I went to shift it into drive and the whole shifter fell. I was able to put it into drive by using the switch underneath and got it home. Tilt the steering wheel to the full UP position. Look underneath the column, and you should see a hole underneath the shifter area. Poke a screwdriver (or similar tool) up into that hole, and you can push the override lever (inside the column) up, which will then allow you to move the shift lever out of Park.

Turned out under the shifter assembly and center console, there are dual ground eyelets. Mine were not tightend to spec. Tech put on a scanner, with in 1 hour had the issue solved and tightend the eyelets to the ground bolt.
