It depends on how many zombies you have set, but personally, I would rather lead them away from my base. The heli does actually look for players outside of buildings and if it does find someone, it will stick around for longer following them. You can make the heli leave a lot faster if you stay inside until it's gone, and there is a bit of delay between it arriving and it looking for players. #3.As long as you have no view of the outside and don’t move during the heli event, the chopper will just fly rounds around your general area. Lots of zombies will still come, but you might have the scenario of also having them all drawn away. The moment the heli sees you, it will flyover directly over you for a long while.
