I have the LIM off, the gasket is definetly wasted... totally blown apart as usual right at the coolant ports. But heres the problem with the lifters.... There are 2 (with the motor in it current position) that have 1/4" of free play at the rocker arms!!!. I just purchased a ZZP intake, ported SC, and a Garlock LIM gasket. The intake has a lot of meat removed between the blower output and the wastegate hole. Trying to determine if this open area should be cut from the gasket, or left alone. ZZP seems to indicate the latter, and I am not buying into that. See attached pictures.

I bought the aluminum elbows seperately at Advance Auto Parts. I bought my upper and lower off eBay, it included the Dorman gaskets and the EGR tube. The EGR valve I bought seperately as well.

The LIM gaskets that are most often recommended are the ACDelco metal gaskets. 89017816 is an ACDelco part number for yours but IDK if these are the plastic or the metal ones.
