If the throttle linkage, timing advance, and carb settings are not done in the proper sequence you end up chasing yourself. This is a multi-page procedure and far too detailed to go into here.The carbs does not have an 'idle stop' adjustment. The important is to get the carbs starting to open at the timing specified when the arrow on #47 lines up with the roller on the carb (pick up timing). From that point and down in rpm, it is all about reducing timing to get correct idle rpm. Only two timing adjustments to be set: 1: Pick-up timing.
