It's in Texas, which in general isn't bad. However, the summers, especially when you're out in the field, make you wish for the next ice age, nuclear winter, whatever. Killeen is a pretty shitty place in my opinion, buut you aren't too far from Dallas or Austin, so that's kind of a silver lining. Personally, I prefer Denton to Dallas, but YMMV.

I think when people complain being there it's mainly about the unit they're in. Not the actual base.
