Idk what to tell you, one scav run can fund 5 + barebones pmc runs. If you cant survive even one PMC run something is wrong. Next time you can afford a full kit practice offline for a bit. Its an unforgiving game but you're still playing against other people and they are beatable.

Pmc/scav combo extracts give good scav karma. So you can get 3.5ish rep from those then you also get 1.1 rep from fence at level 50. After that you just need to survive around 150 times or kill a few PMCs / Traitor scavs. I try this every day and so far nobody cares.
