Comcast, true to form, blamed my router. If I switch the XB7 to router mode (bridge mode off), I don't see the connectivity problems with web sites. It's worth noting that I don't subscribe to TV. I receive 1Gbps of Fios. If you don't have TV, you can just connect your router to the ONT and remove the G3100. Just unplug the ethernet cable from the WAN port of the G3100 and connect it to the WAN of your router. Ged rid of it and do your network properly.

Connect it to a free port, and the other end to the HUE bridge. If you are using the comcast modem/router as a bridge to your personal router, then it has to hook up to your personal router.

The gateway, when put in Bridge mode, defaults to using exclusively the LAN1 port. LAN1 is a 1 gbps port. The router, however, has a 2.5 gbps port - re: LAN4 which would be better suited as the output port. I do not see any option when I log into the router to change the output port when the router is in Bridge mode.

Port forward the correct ports to the correct IP address. Then go online to the xFi portal and see if advanced security is enabled. Disable it. That will block WAN requests. Sounds like a router issue then. Remove the router from the equation and run a direct test from modem to PC while in bridge mode. (Reboot both after hooking them up and before testing). Then you know if the modem is doing what it should. And use the same Ethernet cord you used to get 900.
