Essentially, I have placed 4 different orders through Wayfair, and in every case the status of my order has remained at preparing for shipping. For example, I placed an order for a TV stand on August 4th. On the website the status is still listed as "Preparing for Shipping - Estimated Delivery: Monday, August 17th".Wayfair would send the order to the manufacturer, who would then ship it. However, if the manufacturer had already pulled the item and sent it out for shipping, Wayfair would have to contact the manufacturer to know if it shipped or not. Further, Wayfair would not really make anything out of the deal if they pushed the order through.
