This room looks like it smells like old cigarette smoke. It also makes no sense to put in a fireplace in general. 95% of homeowners don't use the fireplace at all. But here we are, because no one stops to think about "how its always been done".

If it’s over a fireplace, EVER, it’s too high (never understood how this dumb trend started). If you’re seated, and the bottom of the TV is even a single centimeter above you’re eye level, it’s too high. Ideally, your eye level should hit the TV between the center and about ⅓ up from the TV bottom. Any higher is always too high. Well sometimes you don’t have any other way than showing wires. But in this example: Just buy a smaller TV bench and put your tv with the integrated legs onto it. Hide the wires behind the legs.
