Unless bufferless ARs get cheaper there really is no way to build this for less than 1.5k. Or someone makes a way to turn any ar into a bufferless system. Granted there is the maxim defense and other micro buffer systems. Therr is someone working on a self buffering bcg.
Random, but psa could fill a gap in an alternate to an existing rifle type, the bulpup. other companies have done this before. I believe PSA could look into bulpup variants. Say PSA doesn't want to go through the R&D of a new rifle type. PSA makes the jackal, a buffer less rifle design that could be retrofitted into a bulpup chassis similar to ar180 bulpup designs. The base of a 5.56 case is much smaller than the base of a 7.62x39. To make a 7.62 fit, the face of the bolt has to be opened to be able to fit the larger diameter 7.62x39 case. This means there is less metal all around and puts more stress on the extractor. The KS47 is quite overgassed so that puts even more stress on the extractor.
