Jun 3, 2022 · Hello, I’m new to all this and just picked up an Indian River Otter, 12’ square stern canoe with a flat bottom and tunnel hull. Searching the forum I’ve seen threads mentioning these boats and custom builds, but have never seen any pictures or follow along builds. I am scaling up the frames 5% and adding a frame on the same spacing to the portion of the hull that is straight. My scaling will result in a 15' 9-1/2" length with max beam 44". Heavy hull @ 1600 lbs naked with a 17* deadrise, draft is definately not microskiffish-say 12" loaded. It was solid and dry for a 16' but not fishing friendly.
