Parts are not readily available to build a SIG MCX upper. Barrels are especially hard to find. Some of the used MCX barrels are first generation which uses a proprietary bolt without tapered lugs. New bolts from SIG have tapered lugs for a later generation of barrels and will not run in a first generation barrel.
