I used this to replace my control board for my Maytag Neptune MDE5500AYW I originally bought in Nov 2000. My transformer on the control board was getting hot and the dryer stopped working during mid cycle. After this when the start button was pressed I would just hear a click but the dryer would not start the cycle.
