The technician said everything looked great and that this was a normal find for 6 weeks. I say don’t stress until the doctor gives you something to stress about:-) The point of the ultrasound is for dating the pregnancy. Going off LMP is an estimate until you have your dating ultrasound. At 5+2 it would be unlikely that you’d see a heartbeat. In 2 weeks you should be able to see the flicker, keep in mind it might still be too early to HEAR the heartbeat. This is also normal.

If you got a positive pregnancy test on April 27, it's likely you're at least 7 1/2 weeks along, and a heartbeat should have been seen on the ultrasound. It's also possible that you're not quite as far along as that, though, and your baby is okay.
