Hi guys, I replaced my OEM thermostat housing in my 2014 Cruze 1.8 today due to having code P0597 - Thermostat heater control circuit open as well as it leaking coolant. I replaced with Dorman 902-033, figuring it was a fix all unit that would last longer. I've properly filled and bled the cooling system, but can not get coolant temps past 170F.Failure of the valve cover PCV regulator diaphragm may only be a symptom of a greater problem: the PCV check valve in the intake manifold. If the intake manifold PCV check valve has failed and you only replace the valve cover, you will find yourself replacing valve covers every few months not knowing why.
