I had changed the oil many times on my 96 CI Fatboy but this was the first time on the new 103 CI touring. I removed both of these plugs to change the engine and the tranny. I check to make sure the oil is somewhere on the stick. If it is I ride the bike to fully warm it up and let it run on the side stand a minute or two.
