The Twilight Zone Marathon is back for another year, and all of us "Zoners" can rest easy knowing that our beloved tradition remains as a shining beacon on New Year's Eve. In fact, this year, the marathon is even expanding to start at 8 am on December 30th, giving us an extra full day of black and white glory. Read on for the full schedule.

And sure enough, Twilight Zone marathons on TV have been a mainstay of the season for quite some time. The New Year’s Eve Twilight Zone marathon is one of TV’s most consistent and perhaps least understood traditions.
At a time of growing conformity, TZ pretty much was the then-singular show pushing back against the against government/authority. No other shows did that. Maybe most importantly, Twilight Zone celebrates independent thought, by challenging, the viewer, while remaining, entertaining, sometimes remarkably so.
