heat shield. I used this on my Mossberg Model 88 shotgun with the Slugster barrel installed. It looks really great on this short barrel. The only problem I ran into was on the 88 shotgun, the back ears on the heat shield interfere with the slide operation. Cutting about one quarter inch off these ears solve the problem.

Some folks like these for Wild Bunch, because the extra weight helps keep the muzzle down. I don't care for it, so here it is!
