Detroit 60 series starting problems.
Subject: 60 Series Detroit fuel bleeding back. Have a 2000 model year 12.7 in a 9900I international and if it's been sitting more than a couple hours it needs a sniff of ether to get it started. I've replaced all the fuel lines from the tanks to the head and back aswell as the check valve on the back of the head a couple years ago.
I have a Freightliner Century with a Detroit 12.7 s60. Recently the truck has become very hard to start and has lost power specially when going up hills. I have checked and cleaned the check valve on the filter and also the check valve behind the cylinder head. If this is a Freightliner, they are the worst on that with the Century and the Columbia models. Check the harness to the ECM is next. It goes direct tot the ECM.
